Thanks to the generosity of our landowners and the others who support our work, NMLC is now celebrating 127,577 acres conserved across this beautiful state!
At the end of 2013 we worked with landowners in Colfax, Mora, and Rio Arriba counties to complete three new conservation easements over a total of nearly 10,000 acres of land. These easements protect high-quality wildlife habitat including wetland and riparian areas as well as sustainably-managed rangeland. NMLC will work to ensure the conservation of this land in perpetuity—forever. In the next 25 years, we hope to reach a total of one million acres conserved. Contact us to find out how you can conserve your own land, or make a contribution to help us conserve key pieces of land statewide.
