NMLC welcomes our intern for summer 2012, Ariel Patashnik. Ariel grew up in San Diego, lived for six years in Connecticut, and has been lucky enough to land summer jobs in Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, and now New Mexico. She fell in love with pretty places during family road trips and hikes around the West, and is excited to be working with NMLC towards land conservation goals in such a beautiful state.
Ariel is especially interested in the freshwater biodiversity benefits that go along with land conservation. She enjoyed exploring these issues in school. She got her BA in Environmental Studies from Yale College and her Masters in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She’s happy to now (hopefully!) be back West for good.
