Sayre Gerhart is an architect who has been active in land conservation and land use planning issues for many years. She served as councilor and Mayor Pro Tem for the Village of Corrales, where she initiated, funded and implemented projects focused on land use and land preservation of farmland and wildlife habitat, public safety, housing issues, historic preservation of buildings, economic development, water quality and trail development. She is Founding Secretary for the Corrales Arts Center and served as a trustee for the Bosque School from 2008-2012. She was Founding Chair of the Corrales Farmland Preservation Committee and has been a member of many other boards and commissions. She holds an M.A. in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Princeton University.
